It was very tragic the way Amber died. I met the couple in 2005 when they visited our former church in the USA. Anthony had a female relation who was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Jackson, MS.

I pray that the Lord will extend the borders of His kingdom in Ethiopia and the rest of Africa, and establish a strong and vibrant Reformed witness across the continent.

Dear Pastor Mbewe it was a heart warming experince to read of your visit to Ethiopia. We praise the Lord for what He has already done in that wonderful country. It is good to note that poverty has not hindered the spread of the gospel in that country.

It constantly thrills me to acknowledge the Bible as a verifiable account of the actual history of the earth, yet I tremble at the fact that there was a time when, in my ignorance, I doubted this truth.

Yes! it is plausible that Christianity came to Ethiopia via the blessed eunuch whose conversion God chronicled in holy Scripture. If only he had known his story would be such a blessing to all the coming generations!

The work continuing (or being revived) there is a testament to God’s eternal purposes. I have observed that many missionary stories have tragedy woven into them and Anthony’s sacrificial commitment to continuing in his service to the God despite his bereavement is surely a sweet-smelling savour to the Lord. What a servant!

Thank God for this inspiring account that reminds us of His providential dealings with His creation and His creatures. The coming of His Christ was not in vain! Amen.

Interesting account. Addis is dear to Judy and I. We've both been there twice though she has been there longer on both occasions. And I didn't know what Addis Ababa meant! It's interesting to read of the work of Addis Kidan Baptist Church (http://ethiopianaddiskidan.org/index.html). It reminds the words of a musician who sang "The Church is Moving On, Nothing can stop it"! God richly bless the work in Ethiopia!
